Within this Centre, there will be a Biomedical Research Axis that will span preclinical and clinical research to answer important questions on cannabis to provide concrete scientific evidence to replace the anecdotal beliefs surrounding the medicinal benefits of cannabis. We will also consider the need for the development of alternative delivery devices – such as a portable inhaler for lung-target delivery, delayed release creams, new oral formulations, and so on. This extends to biomaterials, detection methods, etc.
